Characterizing components of the video game universe are the expressions of attachment for its creators, companies that realize characters, stories and worlds able to leave indelible marks on generations. For this reason, VIGAMUS has set within his exposition tribute areas illustrating their history and their successes.

 

GRASSHOPPER, THE WORLD OF GOICHI SUDA

Grasshopper Manufacture, led by the charismatic game designer Goichi Suda, aka Suda51, is a Japanese video game developer. Among the most fortunate video games created ​​by the company, The Silver Case, the series No More Heroes, Shadows of the Damned, Lollipop Chainsaw and Killer is Dead. At VIGAMUS people can visit the special Grasshopper - The World of Goichi Suda area, containing artworks and handmade sketches from The Silver Case and No More Heroes, and a collection of materials from the original exposure. The most famous titles are playable through four interactive stations.

 

SEGA CORNER

SEGA is one of the most popular Video Games Japanese companies in the world. At the Video Game Museum of Rome visitors can admire a collection of unique pieces donated directly by the company, which includes several paintings and artworks feautring the icon Sonic and autographed by Yuji Naka and Takashi Iizuka, respectively creator of the charachter and producer of Sonic Lost World, and the original design of Mega Drive console signed by Masami Ishikawa. Inside the area, people can see gadgets and memorabilia belonging to the historic house and play with a original SEGA coin-op in free play.

 

SNK PLAYMORE

SNK PLAYMORE is one of the most important producers of Japanese arcade games and consoles. Inside VIGAMUS visitors can admire an exclusive collection of memorabilia, which includes the two artworks made by Keisuke Ogura (character designer of the fighting game series King of Fighters) for the Video Game Museum in Rome. The corner provides access to two cabinets in free play containing the essential works of SNK Playmore.

 

TEKKEN CORNER

Tekken, created by the Japanese company Namco is one of the main 3D fighting series. The characterization and narrative aesthetics of the characters, combined with the unmistakable style of the director Katsuhiro Harada has allowed the series to earn great popularity among players, becoming a real cult. At VIGAMUS visitors can discover the original Japanese arcade Tekken Tag Tournment 2, dipped in a special corner dedicated to the series.

 

THE WITCHER CORNER

The Witcher, created by CD Projekt RED, is a series of fantasy role-playing video games directly taken from the literary saga of the Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski. Appreciated for the mature content and for the complex plot, The Witcher is now one of the most innovative RPG in video games. Inside VIGAMUS visitors can find a window dedicated to The Witcher, with exclusive showpieces and limited editions of the game.
