Following an ideal of dynamic-interactive exposition, VIGAMUS aims to make the audience experience a large number of game modes and man-machine interfaces.
The Video Game Museum is the only place in Italy where visitors can try the cult game Steel Battalion within a scenic immersive installation.
Steel Battalion, produced by Capcom and created by the famous Japanese game designer Atsushi Inaba, is one of the most interesting experiments in terms of gameplay and controller structure. The game, characterized by a total adherence to reality despite the sci-fi theme, allows the audience to fight aboard a giant combat robot. The Steel Battalion controller, which simulates the helm of the robot, is one of the largest input systems ever conceived for a video game, with its more than 50 keys.
