Anti-COVID-19 Rules

To ensure the safety of our visitors, we make sure that:

  • Access to the Museum is allowed only if wearing a mask.
  • Body temperature is measured when entering the Museum.
  • Sanitizing gel and gloves are provided at the entrance.
  • A visor mask is provided when accessing the VR Room.
  • Admissions are limited.
  • Safety distances are observed between visitors.
  • The rooms are constantly sanitized.

Starting from Friday 6 August 2021, to access the Video Game Museum of Rome, visitors from 12 years of age must show the reception staff the EU Digital COVID Certificate with one of the following certifications:

  • At least one dose of vaccine received (valid for 9 months);
  • Negative result of a molecular/antigen test (carried out within 48 hours of the visit);
  • The certificate of successful recovery from COVID-19 (valid for 6 months from recovery).

In the absence of such documentation, entry to the Museum will not be allowed.
The following are exempt from the obligation: children under 12 of age and those who cannot be vaccinated for health reasons (certified by certification).

VIGAMUS is among the founding members and promoters of EFGAMP, the European Federation of Game Archives, Museums, and Preservation Projects. This Federation aims to find new opportunities of digital preservation, with a particular attention to video games. Through an international network of partners, EFGAMP has the mission of promoting the creation of archives and enhancing the accessibility to the digital heritage.
